Nikon Coolpix L14

Nikon’s COOLPIX L14 is an entry-level compact digital camera with the claim to fame of being the 3x zoom compact with the longest battery life (as of 30th August 2007). Nikon claim one can squeeze out over 1000 shots from a pair of Lithium AAs. It’s also got 7.1 megapixels, a 2.4″ LCD and a 38-114 (equiv.) lens.

Nikon is pleased to announce the COOLPIX L14, a quality compact digital camera that combines high performance with operating ease, as well as also providing long battery life. Built on a custom application of Nikon’s innovative EXPEED digital image processing concept and incorporating the precision optics of a NIKKOR lens, the COOLPIX L14 is built to realise optimum performance and maximum image quality.

The COOLPIX L14 makes full use of its 7.1 effective megapixels, capturing true-to-life colour and fine detail that leaves plenty of freedom to crop or produce enlargements. Paired with the precision optics of a 3x Zoom-NIKKOR lens that covers a practical range of 38-114mm (35mm equivalent) the new model captures a range of scenes, from group shots to close-up portraits.

The COOLPIX L14 offers the world’s longest battery life*, maximizing the power of the supplied Energizer™ lithium AA-size batteries. Using a standard battery size that is widely available around the world brings a great advantage in that it means never worrying about recharging or running out of power. Better still, the energy efficient design of the COOLPIX L14 allows it to shoot 1,000 photos on a pair of Energizer™ lithium AA-size batteries.

Intuitive operation and user-friendly controls ensure error-free command over the performance features of the COOLPIX L14. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically compensates to help eradicate traces of the annoying red-eye effect that can sometimes be encountered during flash photography.
